Nevada GOP Finally Ready to Vote on Presidential Nominee
Jennifer Terhune, is a delegate to the state convention and Nevada communications coordinator for the Paul campaign. She said the campaign would encourage supporters to attend the June 28 convention and that many of the 1,347 delegates to the Nevada state convention — not just Paul supporters — feel disenfranchised by what happened on April 26.
“The state party unfortunately does not seem really interested in having our voices be heard. They seem more interested in getting a McCain delegation,” she said.

John McCain has been called someone that takes a stand. When Ron 
Paul defeated him handedly in the Republican debates, all McCain did was sneer and snicker at him. Did he reach over and shake Ron’s hand? Did he ever say, hey Ron, I may not agree with you, but I respect your right to free speech? Did he ever say, Ron, you have some good points, maybe I should reconsider my stance on some of these issues? The “Maverick” never made a stand for Ron Paul or his supporters. If he was a real “Maverick” he would respect what Ron Paul is trying to accomplish and demand that Ron Paul and the voice of his supporters are heard at state conventions.

WASHINGTON — In a long-delayed report, the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday rebuked President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for making prewar claims — particularly that Iraq had close ties to Al Qaeda — that were not supported by available intelligence.
The report, which was opposed by most Republicans on the panel, says the president and other members of his administration repeatedly exaggerated evidence of an Al Qaeda connection to take advantage of the charged climate after Sept. 11. It is the most pointed reproach to date of the Bush administration’s use of intelligence to build the case for the Iraq war. In one large survey, diet soda consumption was found to be associated with elevated cardiovascular and metabolic disease risk. A different study reveals a possible mechanism behind this effect: rats that were fed artificially sweetened yogurt in addition to their regular feed ended up eating more and gaining more weight than rats that ate yogurt with real sugar. The study’s authors suggest that exposure to an artificial sweetener may undermine the brain’s ability to track calories and to determine when to stop eating.

SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH - South Jordan city leaders are considering a ban on air guns, BB guns, paintball guns and some firearms replicas.
Police say they’ve had more than 15 complaints in the past year and a half about fake weapons that were thought to be real.
The police department recently responded to a 911 call of a man lying in the bushes with a rifle that turned out to be fake.
Only 7 percent support taking military action against Iran.
