The Pentagon is to spend $30 Billion building a super secret “National Cyber Range” in order to prepare for all out cyber warfare by using it to conduct mock online battles with realistic info-warriors.

While Obama opposed invading Iraq, Paul’s criticism is based on Obama voting to fund the war and not ruling out invading Iran.
“All we’re looking at today is the disintegration of our empire and the bankruptcy of this country,” Paul said in a pre-speech news conference. “That’s why our dollar is going down and the commodity prices are going up and gasoline’s up.”

After losing its congestion pricing fight, the Bloomberg administration wants a law to create a network of cameras to catch cars illegally using special bus lanes.
Much like red-light cameras that photograph motorists who drive through traffic lights, the new devices would be installed on up to 50 miles of lanes designated as part of a pilot program across the city for rapid transit buses.

According to early accounts, ABC News correspondent Brian Ross had the early scoop because Palfrey turned over years-long call lists for his staff to verify. After Cheney turned up on the list, things got “weird” - the story, already on the ABC website was poised to run on 20/20 but suddenly everything went away.
Any mention of Cheney was scrubbed from the ABC website and the 20/20 piece never ran. Vitter and Tobias had already admitted whoring, so the mainstream press carried the DC Madam bust but shied away from mentioning Cheney. The trial was strangely quiet - little coverage and a scheduled Vitter was never subpoaened.
Then, going into to a weekend news cycle we heard about the hanging, presented as a suicide from the first mention but without revealing the details - was it a handwritten note? Full autopsy and inquest? Witness statements? Did the Madam check out without leaving behind anything critical of those who hounded her? No statements left behind about the DOJ Attorney fired after investigating her case?

It was immediately clear that a coalition of Ron Paul supporters and John McCain opponents had a slight majority when the folks running the show wouldn’t allow a “roll-call vote” (basically a head-count) to settle a very close vote for who would be convention chairman of the day. It was by no means clear who won the yea-or-nay vote, and calls for a roll-call vote were denied. They would never explain why, and I regret that they were allowed to get away with that. This convention may have gone very differently otherwise.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency report discounts fire as a cause and concludes that the reasons for the collapse of Building 7 are unknown and require further research. But when FEMA issued this report, it already cleared the site and disposed of the dust and steel (evidence from a crime scene), thus possibly committing a felony and complicating any “further research.”

In a washingtonpost.com online chat today, the Post’s media critic Howard Kurtz was asked why the television news media have largely failed to report on the Pentagon propaganda operation revealed recently by the New York Times. Kurtz said the media is too embarrassed to report the story:
Toronto: Hi Howard — kudos for last Sunday’s focus on the New York Times’s Pentagon propaganda story. Why do you think the networks still are silent on this? The comments on Brian Williams’s blog are at a boiling point — I’m surprised NBC hasn’t shut it down yet!
Howard Kurtz: I can only conclude that the networks are staying away from what would otherwise be a legitimate news story because they are embarrassed about what some of their military analysts did or don’t want to give the controversy more prominence.
Later in the same online chat, Kurtz said, “The networks are ducking this one, big time.”
