Albert Howard, the presidential hopeful from Ann Arbor Michigan, is traveling to New Hampshire tonight to formally request a recount of the Republican vote in Tuesday’s primary. Howard is a chauffeur and father of eight. He paid $1,000 to be on the New Hampshire ballot as a Republican presidential candidate and is not on the ballot in any other state.

Howard officially received 44 votes in the primary, but Howard said his tally was over 170 votes.

Howard discussed the recount request with William Gardner, the Secretary of State in New Hampshire. A fee of $2,000 is required to start the recount process, but the costs could be much higher. Among the associated costs include police who would go with the ballot counters to each county.

Howard claimed, “I’ve got backers who will pay the costs.”

The deadline for filing for a recount is five o’clock tomorrow, Friday, January 11th, 2008. When the recount is requested they will recount all the votes for all the candidates in that party by hand.

In what is being called ‘the right thing to do’, some supporters of the Ron Paul campaign, among others, are demanding a recount. The response from Kent Snyder, chairman of Ron Paul 2008, was: “Ron has not made a decision yet….” Meanwhile, Ron Paul released a message on his website titled “Onward“.

If the recount is vote fraud is uncovered in the Republican primary it may also throw the Democratic results into doubt. Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich allegedly may also file for a recount. http://voteinsunshine.blogspot.com/2…h-will-be.html

Thousands of concerned American’s have contacted Ron Paul’s campaign, and now Albert Howard, who came out of obscurity and could impact this primary/race.

Howard’s email response:

“Thank you for your support. We are calling for a recount, accepting donations on through our website. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Albert Howard”

‘Granny Warrior‘, a Ron Paul supporter who is traveling across the country to arouse support for Paul, is collecting money in a grass-root effort, to fund Howard’s recount efforts. Individuals who want a recount can also make the donation directly to Albert at his website.

The following statement is on Albert Howard’s website as his reason to run for President of the United States of America:

“The Angel of the Lord told me in January of 1992 that Hillary Rodham Clinton and I would meet and be running against each other and that she would lose”. -Albert Benjamin Howard

Sounds to me like Albert Howard didn’t stand a change in hell of winning anyway, But him taking a stand is the right thing to do - Good For Him! In regards to the quote:

“The Angel of the Lord told me in January of 1992 that Hillary Rodham Clinton and I would meet and be running against each other and that she would lose”. -Albert Benjamin Howard

Maybe his recount will spark the same for democrats and show that Hillary truly was the loser to Obama?

Maybe it will show rampant fraud and expose this tyranny right out in the open. Maybe it will help propel and show the true will of the people. Democracy Now!

Maybe it’s best if Paul supporters ‘move on’ in the grassroots efforts and not get hung up too much on recount efforts? And at the same time, election integrity is mucho importante.
