Our children are being indoctrinated and ‘Dumbed-Down‘ with songs about fast food franchises. Singing ‘McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken’ in our public schools sends a confusing and grossly consumerist message to our children. Sure it’s a fun idea to sing about such familiar commodities, but what’s next - ‘Halliburton, Bilderberg, New World Order’ or ‘Rothchild, Bushco, Rockefeller’? Just how integrated with the corporations will we let our cash-strapped schools become?  The foundations, the media, federal government and their agendas  - how far are we willing to let them reach into our classrooms? The modern-day corporate fascist regime serves in manipulating, conditioning and programming our kids.

Food Song Lyrics by FAST FOOD ROCKERS:
Can I take your order please?
Let’s eat to the beat
(Chorus)
A Pizza Hut a Pizza Hut
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
A Pizza hut a Pizza Hut
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
McDonald’s McDonald’s
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
McDonald’s McDonald’s
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut

You like it you love it
You know you really want it
The voices I hear
Whenever you’re around
I want it I need it
Nothing else can beat it
Hot and spicy
Whenever I’m in town (mm mm)
Enticing exciting
Aroma so inviting
And when it hits
Me, I wanna take you home
Trust me you must see
Just what you’re doing to me
Driving me crazy
Hungry to the bone
I think of you and lick my lips
You’ve got the taste I can’t resist
Can’t resist - can’t resist
Let’s eat to the beat
(Repeat Chorus)
Would you like that to go?
Any sauces?
You’re so sweet and you’re neat
You knock me off my two feet
You’re chunky and hunky
I’m coming back for more (Hot Dog)
Your taste all embraces
I gotta sing your praises
Just savor the flavors
Waiting at your door
I think of you and lick my lips
You’ve got the taste I can’t resist
Can’t resist - can’t resist
Let’s eat to the beat
(Repeat Chorus)
Does anyone fancy a shake?
Shake
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Shake it to the left - Shake it to the right - Let’s shake
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
I think of you and lick my lips
You’ve got the taste I can’t resist
Can’t resist - can’t resist
Let’s eat to the beat
(Repeat Chorus)

When you say Pizza Hut, you make an upside-down ‘V’ with your forearms. When you say Kentucky Fried Chicken, you make flapping chicken wings with your arms. When you say McDonald’s, you draw golden arches with your hands. And make sure to hold your bulging gut in while doing these exercises.

The movie Supersize Me also features the song if you’d like to hear it. So, the question is: why are they teaching our children this song in hypocrisy while we also teach healthy lifestyles to avoid obesity? Why this type of corporate crossover into our school system? I understand that our schools are terribly underfunded as well as our teachers, but isn’t there a better alternative than this slippery slope to help fund our short-changed schools?

Part of the problem is school administrators are no match for savvy corporate marketers. Schools should decide what the terms of an agreement are, not businesses. But most are too desperate for corporate money so as to keep school programs alive. The real solution to underfunded school programs is adding more public dollars for public education.  Perhaps the principles of the free-market with competing private schools and home schooling would help remedy the issue.  But voters have said no to school vouchers in many states such as Utah in November 2007.  So the corporate sponsorship continues as an apparent necessity.

Many folks see a double standard in school district’s willingness to use corporate sponsorships and it’s a nationwide issue that a lot of parents and guardians are struggling with, but many are still asleep - or apathetic or complacent and could care less that their children are being taught literal garbage. Are American schools just training the next generation of slaves? Should we consider homeschooling our children?
